ABOUT ME
Putting My Experience
to Work
I moved to the Houston, Texas area in 1981. I began my career as a public educator teaching middle school computer literacy in Liberty, Texas. After leaving Liberty, I helped to develop the first computer education program while teaching high school in Crosby ISD. Later, I moved into an administrative role serving as the Director of Technology at Hardin ISD. I established their first district-wide technology program. In 1998, I become the Director of Technology and later the Assistant Superintendent of Technology
for Barbers Hill ISD. While there, I helped to develop one of the first district-wide laptop programs in the State of Texas. Recently, I was hired by Texas City ISD to help absorb a neighboring district and develop virtual learning programs for both. When Covid hit, our district was ready immediately to successfully make the transition from in-person to virtual learning. In addition to all of the above, I have extensive experience working with state and community organizations, school boards, and parents.
